I have two degrees in writing and do some writing for a living - but I also own a marketing business because my brain just wouldn't stop. I'd much prefer Oprah. Though the initial appearance would 'only' result in 10,000 sales (that I would be thrilled with for myself or any of my clients!!!) the marketing value on that "As Seen on Oprah" is invaluable. Blogging's a great tool - but EVERYONE has a blog and not enough are 'highlighted' in this business! Anyway - great blog!!! Love it. Enjoy your time writing - I know I do! Anyway, I greatly relate to your piece about how important writing is to you. Writing has saved my life at least once, and saved my sanity zillions of times.
